Rayman Legends Retold has been delayed to December

August, September and October are stacked with new game releases, with developers and publishers really doing their best to avoid launching anything in November, also known as Grand Theft Auto VI month. But for better or for worse, there’s now one less game to look forward to this October, with the news that Rayman Legends Retold has been delayed.
Originally set to launch on 1st October, Rayman Legends Retold will now launch across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2 and PC on 3rd December. That means we’ll have to wait a couple of extra months to enjoy the updated classic, which sports stunning 3D visuals, new cutscenes and lots of additional content. With the game having already gone gold, there’s no reason for you to worry about the delay – Ubisoft simply wants some extra time to polish it up and make sure it’s as good as can be.
To somewhat make up for the delay, Ubisoft is promising to release a new Game Overview trailer for Rayman Legends Retold on 22nd September. Also on that day, more previews will be available from selected content creators and members of the press.
We’ve already previewed Rayman Legends Retold having been hands-on with it back in June, stating that it ” promises to be every bit as enjoyable as the original Rayman Legends” and that “The move to 3D not only allows for more visual flair, but also a greater focus on telling a story and new gameplay experiences.”
We’re already convinced it’s going to be worth your time and money, then, so while the delay is a little disappointing, that fact that it’s for extra polish means it will result in an even better experience in the end.
