Remothered: Tormented Fathers and Broken Porcelain owners will get free upgrades to remasters

Just when you’re done getting all endings in the excellent Silent Hill: Townfall, it’ll be time to delve into another survival horror, with Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy launching on 17th October. And if you’re a fan of the Remothered series, you’ve got more to look forward to, with remasters of both Tormented Fathers and Broken Porcelain in the works. The bad news? They won’t be available until early next year.

Today, Stormind Games has revealed the release window for both Remothered: Tormented Fathers Remastered and Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered, with the pair arriving in the first quarter of 2027. It’s a little disappointing they won’t arrive before the new third entry in the survival horror series, especially for newcomers perhaps wanting to get up to date before jumping into Red Nun’s Legacy, but at least it’s something to look forward to early next year.

There’s good news for those who already own Remothered: Tormented Fathers or Broken Porcelain digitally on PS4, Xbox One, Switch or PC, too, as free upgrades to the remastered version will be available at launch. Unlike many other free upgrade schemes, however, the free upgrades will only be available for one week, so you’ll have to make sure you claim them while you can. Unfortunately, it appears that free upgrades won’t be available for those who bought physical copies of the games.

If you’ve not been keeping up with the latest announcements regarding the Remothered series, the remastered versions of Tormented Fathers and Broken Porcelain will feature improved lighting, sharper textures and more thanks to being upgraded to Unreal Engine 5. As a result, they should be more atmospheric and scarier than ever. Check out the release window trailers for both titles below for a taste of what’s instore.
