The brilliant, mind-bending Slay the Princess is 50% off on Steam and it’s never been cheaper

Slay the Princess’s premise sounds straightforward, if extremely suspect. You’re sent into a cabin to kill the princess whose continued existence could end the world. But in Slay the Princess, nothing is as it seems and you find yourself on a haunting, looping journey that will make your brain hurt.
Now, this brilliant, hand-drawn visual novel, is 50% off on Steam, making it just £7.19/$8.99. Rated ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ by its many purchasers, this is the cheapest it’s ever been. If you love games that stay with you long after you’ve stepped away from your PC, you need to own it.
In our Slay the Princess preview, we described it as “..a haunting head trip,” and that stands. From the word go you’re wondering who you can trust. The narrator? The princess whose form alters between each loop? The other voices that weave their way into the story? It’s up to you.
Developed by Black Tabby Games, this is the Pristine Cut of Slay the Princess, which features additional dialogue and endings. But, be warned, this is not for the faint of heart; things can get very, very nasty, whether you choose to put the knife in or not.
The game is also available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, but it’s only the Steam version (playable on PC, Linux and Mac) that’s discounted. You’ve got until September 26th before the offer’s over, so go to Steam and get Slay the Princess for just £7.19/$8.99.
