Stellar Blade shows off its upcoming Bayonetta crossover costumes
Need a reason to dive back into Stellar Blade? Coming soon to Nintendo Switch 2, this striking Soulslike is getting a collection of Bayonetta crossover costumes and a new trailer has revealed how they’ll look in action.
As crossovers go, it makes sense; Stellar Blade and Bayonetta share a similar over-the-top energy, though the latter was kicking bottom a good fifteen years before Stellar Blade debuted. There are four costumes in all: Bayonetta, Nun, Jeanne and Black Tresses.
The costumes are all cosmetic only, so you won’t acquire Bayonetta’s skills. But if you’re a fan of PlatinumGames’ long running series, you’ll appreciate the opportunity to suit up as the Umbra Witch. You can watch the trailer (which features noticeably more jiggle than vanilla Bayonetta) below.
The crossover is aimed at promoting the Nintendo Switch 2 release of Stellar Blade Complete Edition, which happens on November 5th, 2026. Stellar Blade Complete Edition will also include the content from the previous Nier Automata and Goddess of Victory: Nikki crossovers.
Bayonetta is effectively a Nintendo exclusive and has been since the release of Bayonetta 2. However, Switch-less Stellar Blade fans aren’t getting short-changed. The costumes will arrive, free, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on November 5th.
