To celebrate a year of Dying Light: The Beast, a physical release is incoming

8.6 billion zombies: that’s how many enemies we’ve eliminated collectively since Dying Light: The Beast released last year. That’s alongside 52 million play sessions, 1 billion completed quests and 39 million player deaths. Oh, and 11 thousand years of collective gameplay time. Woah! Think of all the productive things we could have done.

Not that we can exactly call it wasted time; we love Dying Light: The Beast, and when it released in September 2025 we scored it a very impressive 9/10. We said it’s “a tense experience, with a fantastic open world that begs to be explored”. Oh, and despite also loving Dying Light 1 and 2, we said this “might just be the best yet”. You can read our full Dying Light: The Beast review to see our full thoughts.

If you’re yet to jump into the game’s world, however, now’s a good time, as Techland has announced the release of not one but three physical editions of the game on PS5 available via Super Rare Games.

The standard retail version of Dying Light: The Beast comes with all game-specific content included on the disc, and includes a printed manual. The limited Super Rare Games edition also comes with a slipcover and a sticker. For true collectors, there’s the Anniversary Edition, which comes with a hardback A4 art book, a 2-disc soundtrack CD, a double-sided A2 poster, a printed map of Castor Woods, two pin badges, six postcards, a woven patch and a sticker sheet.

You can find out more about all three editions on Super Rare Games’ website. Pre-orders are open now, with the special editions being limited to an as-yet unspecified quantity. Pre-orders will close on 16th October, and shipping is expected at some point in Q1 2027.
