TOEM 2 walkthrough – Full quest guide
If you’re playing TOEM 2, you’re in for an absolute treat. This wonderful photography adventure may only take a few hours to complete, but it’s a cosy few hours that you won’t be able to move away from your screen. Our TOEM 2 walkthrough aims to simply point you in the right direction if you’re missing a quest or you’re unsure what to do.
You don’t need to complete every quest to move on in TOEM 2 – in fact, you’ll only need to finish half or less in each area in order to proceed. But you’ll get the most out of the game if you’re a bit of a completionist – and our guide is here to help. We’ve separated our guide into the game’s four main areas. You’ll find screenshots of every animal to be found in each area, along with a list of all quests and a brief description of how to complete it.
The main thing, though, is to simply have fun with TOEM 2. This is a gorgeous game designed to be taken at your own pace, so just enjoy existing in its lovely little monochrome world for a few hours.
How to use our TOEM 2 walkthrough
We’ve kept our TOEM 2 guide very simple, giving a quick explanation of each quest accompanied by a photo. Use the map visible on each screenshot to ascertain where in each area you’ll find the quest and/or how to solve it. You can scan down the list of missions in each area to see the ones you’re missing rather than following it through word-by-word.
We’re missing a few key photos – i.e. the locations of the gnomes in Cropten – and we’ll be updating the guide ASAP.

Animals
Photo of Nana
Photograph Nana when she asks.
Take Flight
Talk to the man stood on shed roof, then focus on his paper plane. Once it lands, retrieve it for him.
Critters to Adore
Talk to the woman under tree and take a photo of any creature for her.
Cropten
Animals
Sight: The Grand Sunflower
Take a photo of the grand sunflower.
Make a Friend
Talk to the worm and use the scissors to cut down vines. You’ll encounter several more across the map and when you return to where you first meet the worm, more will have grown. Clear them all to get the stamp.
Getting that Bread
Talk to the baker in the windmill and cut down the vines growing inside the mill to get it working again.
Unwanted Renovation
Talk to the rabbit in the house on the right hand side of the map. A dog is digging holes on her roof and causing a mess. Get a dog bone from inside the windmill and give it to the dog.
Needle in a Haystack
Photograph a literal needle in a Haystack.
Raspy Rooster
Make jam by using five apples cut from trees and give it to the farmer for his rooster. The machine to make jam is in the first main area of Cropten.
Climbing Challenge
Talk to the person in the goat outfit and climb up on top of the building at the side of him to get a flag.
Hairstylist
Cut the potatohead’s hair using your scissors.
A Cut Above the Rest
Enter the tailor’s house and talk to her. Use your scissors to cut 10 fabrics as she throws them in the air.
Migrating Scarecrow
Take the scarecrow and place him inside the house on the far left of the map.
Missing Cat
Talk to the farmer on the far left of the map. His missing cat is hiding in a flower pot. Focus on the flower to find it. Take a photo and take it back to him.
Gnome Over
Find the three missing gnomes – take photos of them and show them to the owner.
Stubborn Seed
Take the packet of seeds from the giant. Plant them in the flowerpot in the greenhouse. Take a photo and return to the giant.
Pot or Not
Take photos of a can, a mug, a boot and a pan that the woman can grow plants in.
Muddy Monsters
Talk to mother pig inside the house with the pig on the door. Track down her three piglets and use the soap she gives you on them.
Jam Scare
Give the Pooh Bear wannabe a jar of jam. You’ll need to make the jam by collecting five apples and using the jam machine at the start of the area.
Harvest Helper
Pull the crops out of their beds then talk to the sleeping farmer.
The Bees and the Jams
Put a jar of jam on the bee feeder.
Head in the Clouds
Talk to the squishy guy on the picnic blanket. Use your camera to look up at the sky and focus on a cloud directly above you to morph it into a shape. Take a photo and show it to him. There’s one more to find and show him – it’s where Pooh Bear is.
Dandelion Danger
Talk to the three dandelions. Take a photo in the plant lady’s house of their missing sibling. Show it to them.
Photo Challenge
Find and photograph a giant chicken. It’s one of the houses – zoom out and you’ll notice they’re all chicken-shaped!

Animals
Sight: Cavern’s Light
Photograph Cavern’s Light inside a cave.
Comically Stuck
Bonk the jester over the head to remove the pot.
Climbing Challenge
Get the flag from the top of the inn roof – you need to go through the inn and climb out of an upstairs window to reach the top.
Sculpting a Masterpiece
Talk to the artist and use your hammer to remove blocks and copy the reference shape he gives you.
Side Quest Quest
Talk to the quest giver and use your hammer to hit 10 targets.
Out of Juice
Talk to the wizard. He needs a potion. Take the potion order and five mushrooms – found around the area – to the potion maker and return the potion to the wizard.
Thrill of the Hunt
Find the donkey and take a photo. Show the photo to the man. (We’ll add a photo of the donkey’s location ASAP!)
Tower of Love
Climb up to the tower and go inside. Talk to the bard and tell him nobody is home.
Photo Challenge
Climb the tower and take a photo of the bird’s nest.
Mysterious Address
Take a photo of the harp sign outside a building and show it to the delivery person on the troll bridge.
Troll Bridge
Take one photo containing three goats and show the troll.
Absent Timber
Take a photo of the lumberjack’s missing tree and show it to him.
Make a Friend
Find Gob around the map and help him fix items with your hammer.
Not So Knight
Find the three trainer knights around the map and return to to person in the tavern when you’ve found them all.
Perfect Aim
Talk to the archer then find where his arrow has hit. A man with an apple on his head! Return to him with a photo.
A Knight in Crying Armour
Give the knight a potion (visit the potion maker with the order and five toadstools).
Stove Obsession
Talk to the skeleton in the cave then go take a photo of his burned down house (with a horn sign). Return to him.
Explore the Catacombs
Use the map found in a bedroom in the tavern to make your way around the catacombs and reach the treasure.
Invisible Mayhaps
Take a potion to the invisible man (you can see him if you focus with your camera.)
Princess Display
Take a photo of yourself wearing princess hat and princess dress and put it in the frame at the top of the tower.
Deltburg
Animals
Make a Friend
Enter the plumbing shop at the start and talk to the plumber inside. He’ll follow you outside and give you a screwdriver. Use it on the pipe, then use it on several more pipes as you explore the area.
Left Hanging
Talk to the person near the crane. Use the screwdriver to move the crane then take a photo when the billboard is in a reasonable place.
Doing Business
Talk to the man in the office and change into the clothes he gives you. Seal the deal with the imp in the office. There are three more people to do business with around the area. One of them will also need a photograph of a portrait, which you’ll find in the library.
Sweet Deal
As part of Doing Business, you’ll need to visit the library and take a photo of a very well-protected portrait.
Feed a Fish
Find the fish food in a store room in the aquarium. Fix the pipe with the screwdriver so all arrows are pointing in the right direction. Put the food in the end of the pipe.
Lost Ring
Show the girl a photo of her ring – it’s in a chest in the sunfish tank in the aquarium.
Moving In
Place items around the house to help the woman unpack.
Comedy Routine
Listen to the robot comedian. Show him a photo of a bike – there are plenty around town.
Creative Freedom
Set up a photo in the studio. You can use any props. Pop your camera on the tripod and place yourself in the frame.
Under Pressure
Turn off the three valves to stop the water.
Locked Out
Find the keys on the sewer by solving the pipe puzzle then give them to the ghost.
Climbing Challenge
Reach the top of the building. Walk along the pipes near the top to get higher.
Photo Challenge
Scare 3 birds by approaching them so they all land near the chess board and snap a photo.
Evolutionary
place three animal photos to show the evolution of a species in the room in the aquarium. Pollypran – Larvalto – Adulbass
Smelly Findings
Talk to the man in the smell shop. Show him five smelly photos – dirty shoes, cheese, pile of garbage, fish eating an onion, tin of tuna.
Cosmic Dreams
Go to the scientist’s house and sit in the dream chair. Follow the dream path around until you reach a book. Read it and take a photo. Show it to the scientist.
Morning Battle
Collect a cup of hot bean slurp and take it to the person who needs a pick-me-up. Be careful not to spill it by jumping from too high!
Extra: How to solve the Escape Room
Sit on the chair then pick up the scroll. Stand on the loose floorboards in the order shown. Use your screwdriver on the cabinet that opens up. Take the lightbulb and place it in the light fitting on the desk. Focus on the owl with your camera. Take a photo of the key and add it to the screen attached to the door.
