Coming to PC and Switch in November, point-and-click adventure Moomin: Midsummer Madness is getting a free demo ahead of its release. Available on Switch consoles and Steam from 15th October, the demo will let you play the first chapter of the game, offering up to 60 minutes of cosy point-and-click puzzling.

Unlike the recent Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth and Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, which came from Hyper Games, Moomin: Midsummer Madness is developed by Crossbridge Game Studios and published by Shochiku. It’s going to be a little different then, but judging by what we’ve seen so far, it’s still worth getting excited about if you’re a Moomin fan.

You’ll play as Moomintroll and, accompanied by Little My, you’ll be tasked with helping your friends across the Moominvalley after a flood. Based on the trailer and screenshots we’ve seen so far, it looks to be sympathetically created to match the original look of the books and the early TV adaptations of Tove Jansson’s original work. That is to say, it looks absolutely gorgeous.

If you fancy giving Moomin: Midsummer Madness a go before its release, then, be sure to put 15th October in your calendar. A free demo will be available to download from that date on Switch, Switch 2 and Steam. The full game will launch on 12th November.
