After almost three months without any sort of meaningful communication, Hello Games’ Sean Murray has announced the first in a series of free patches for No Man’s Sky, and it’s a big one.
The Foundation update brings a wealth of new content and bug fixes to one of the most over-hyped and under-loved games of the year.
In it, players will now be able to play in one of three game modes, with a tougher Survival and Creative joining the original Story mode.
Possibly the biggest change comes with the introduction of player-built bases – available in Creative mode – and the ability to purchase huge freighters, to which you can automatically teleport excess goods and materials.
That’s not all Foundation has to offer, though, also promising new tech and resources, improved visuals and optimization for PC players and even an updated UI.
For the full list of changes, fixes and newness you can read all about it on the No Man’s Sky website.
