The Blood of Dawnwalker is less than two weeks away from release and Bandai Namco has released a console trailer showing the game in action. It looks gorgeous but it also confirms that it won’t hit 60FPS on console, even on PlayStation 5 Pro.

This open-world vampire RPG casts you as Coen, a character who’s a human by day but, by night, goes full bloodsucker. You’re tasked with using your powers to save your family, all the while resisting the pull of your monstrous nature.

The game’s set to arrive on September 2nd, landing on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The trailer, which you can watch below, outlines the options players will have when it comes to playing on console.

PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro and Xbox Series X owners can all choose between Quality Mode, targeting 30 FPS, or Balanced Mode, targeting 40 FPS. Both are dynamic 4K, with the PlayStation 5 Pro offering “enhanced visual quality across both modes”.

And the Xbox Series S? Curiously, there’s no mention of the console, make of that what you will. There’s also no mention of a performance mode, suggesting developer Rebel Wolves wants players to appreciate the game’s beauty. Whatever the case, if you want to experience The Blood of Dawnwalker at 60FPS, you’ll need a sufficiently meaty PC.
