Bethesda’s last DLC for Fallout 4 lightens the mood.
If Far Harbor whisked us off to murky shores cloudy with radiation and thrust us into handshakes with inhabitants that worshipped its life threatening properties, Nuka-World gives us a zany, apocalyptic amusement park, to, well, amuse ourselves in. Oh, and since it’s set in a terrifying, dangerous wasteland, we’ll need to pack a gun and some armour – to, you know, protect ourselves with.
Introducing seven new zones including ‘Safari Adventure’ and ‘Kiddie Kingdom’, along with a bunch of fresh quests, weapons, items, creatures and Raider gangs, Nuka-World looks like Bethesda at their light-hearted best. Martians sporting laser pistols and an electrified ping pong bat are just a couple of quirky highlights in the debut gameplay trailer, and while we’re fans of doom, gloom and seriousness, when Bethesda inject some F.U.N (props to Cappy) it’ll almost certainly be just that.
