And fishing, and maps, and gorgeous car rides, and dressing up the squad in cool swag, and tons of high octane combat. Yes, this video is rammed with stuff – all of it spoilerific.
If you weren’t aware, Square Enix also recently gave a statement saying they’d taken the decision to delay Final Fantasy XV‘s release to November 29 instead of September 30 as originally planned.
Speaking in this video, game director Hajime Tabata apologised for the sudden change, and stated,
“From the moment we joined this project, our vision was to create a level of freedom and realism previously unseen in the series. Regrettably, we need a little bit more time to deliver on this vision and are confident that this new release date will help us achieve this.
“As the director and lead of this project, I wish to personally apologize for the additional wait. As a team, we want Final Fantasy XV to achieve a level of perfection that our fans deserve. We kindly ask for your understanding.”
Tabata then goes on to explain that the team had started working on a ‘Master Version’ of the game, and subsequently began preparing a downloadable day one patch. However he believed that this patch could be implemented into the final product instead, rather than be applied as an update.
Either way, more time to tinker and iron things out is always a plus. And going by the gameplay footage, we have reason to be excited for its release, even if we do have to wait just a little longer to join Noctis and the boys.
