Survival Horror ‘Pathologic’ Remake Gets Free Demo

Originally released in Russia in 2005, you’d be forgiven for never having heard of the cult horror series – but it really is worth checking out. In fact, with a full remake coming later this year and a demo that just released today – why not?

The demo itself, Pathologic: The Marble Nest, is a couple-hours long side-story that takes place in a mysterious town decimated by a strange plague. Sounds fun, huh? Up until now, the demo has been available to Kickstarter backers only but now everyone can head over to the Pathologic website and give it a shot.

Our very own Graham Stephen had a larger look at the game last year – as well as an interview with the developer. It sounds like he was a big fan too: “Pathologic demands a clear, open mind, and the game rewards attentiveness and forward thinking, but most of all it demands a keen eye for detail.”

You can download the demo now. Pathologic is set to release later this year for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Ruaraidh - pronounced Roo-Ree - is a Scottish gamer with the name and games to prove it. He enjoys mostly everything, unless it involves exercise, and much prefers to run around inside a good, open-world RPG, being chased across the lands by a horde of monsters after his sweet loot. When he has made his escape, he will often return to the real world to continue playing anything with a good story - indie or otherwise.
