Available on 8th August, Telltale are once again letting fans step into the boots of the Caped Crusader with Batman: The Enemy Within.
We’ve had some hands-on time with the first episode, which is quite a big one we’ve discovered – over 2 hours, in fact – and let us tell you; we’re excited for what’s to come.
Before we go on, however, why not watch the first 25 minutes of Batman: The Enemy Within‘s action packed opening? Go on, you know you want to.
If you’ve watched the video you’ll see that Batman: The Enemy Within looks fantastic, and as usual, the Telltale voice acting talent is on the ball too. You’ll also see that quick time events are more involved this time around, and quite often you’re given choices as to how to deal with a situation. It all makes for a game that’s more involving and more about you.
What you don’t see in the video is how the story develops. Now, I’m not going to spoil anything for you because that would make me an asshole, but let me tell you – it’s brilliant. There are some shocking twists and turns in store that you really don’t want to miss. I think Telltale are really going to surprise Batman fans with this one, and in a good way.
Finally, I like how Telltale have taken fan feedback on board with a couple of things. There are now more scenes that require a bit of detective work – a bit of thought – to break up the action, and in the name of transparency, you can now see where you stand relationship wise with each of the game’s pivotal characters and the end of the episode.
Look for our full review of the first episode of Batman: The Enemy Within early next week.
