Come Watch The First 25 Minutes of Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris

ByKim Snaith 10 July 2020

The latest game in the Sword Art Online franchise, Alicization Lycoris, is out today.

From Bandai Namco, this JRPG casts you in the role of Kirito as he finds himself in the mysterious virtual world known as the “Underworld”.

On awakening in the Underworld, Kirito meets a boy named Eugeo, who quickly becomes an integral part of his journey. He’s not the only face you’ll meet though; fans of the anime will come across many familiar characters as they play through.

In the video above you can watch us play through the first 25 minutes of the game. In it, you’ll get a glimpse of the beautiful virtual landscape of the Underworld, and see Kirito and Eugeo’s relationship begin to form. You’ll also see us engage in a couple of battles; there will be plenty more of those as the game progresses.

Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris is out now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. We’ll have more coverage of the game next week.
