How to Change Zoom Level in Diablo 4

Learn how to change the zoom level by zooming in closer to the action in Diablo 4.
It wasn’t something you could do in Diablo 3, but Diablo 4 lets you zoom in closer to your character, letting you see more detail in the world up close. We’re not sure it’s the best way to play, but we’re always happy to be given more options to tinker around with. And changing your zoom level in Diablo 4 is very easy to do.
To zoom in on the action of Diablo 4, open up your emote wheel then select the “zoom” option in the bottom left corner. Your emote wheel can be opened by pressing up on the d-pad. This zooms close in to your character. It’s cool to see them – and the enemies around you – in more detail, but your field of view is very small. Without seeing exactly what’s happening all around you, you’re leaving yourself open for damage.
To zoom back out, repeat the action: go back to your emote wheel and select “zoom”. Unfortunately, you can’t zoom out any further than the default setting. Occasionally, the game will zoom out a little more: we’ve found this happens when we’re fighting a world boss. But by default, you only have two zoom options to choose from.
Be aware that even when you do choose the more zoomed-in option, the game may occasionally zoom you back out at times. We presume it’s when certain scenes or actions call for a greater field of view.
