How to Unlock Mounts in Diablo 4

Learn how to unlock mounts in Diablo 4, making it exploring its open world a simpler task.
The world of Sanctuary is vast in Diablo 4, and in the course of hunting down evil and trying to find the best loot you’ll do a hell of a lot of travelling. You can do it on foot if you want, but it’s faster to do it on the back of a horse or another large creature. But to do that, you need to unlock mounts.
To unlock mounts in Diablo 4, you first need to play through the game’s story until you reach Act 4. Follow the main questline and talk to Donan; after chewing out Lorath for not providing you with a horse, he’ll tell you to talk to the stable master in Kyovashad. The priority Quest, Mount: Donan’s Favor will then appear on the map.
In Kyovashad, speak to the stable master and select “I’m a friend of Donan’s. He said you could provide a horse.” He’ll then give you a horse, free of charge. But that’s not all; other mounts can now be purchased at a stable master, or found throughout Sanctuary. Even better, once acquired, they’re available to all characters on your account.
To make use of a mount, simply press right on the d-pad; it will then be summoned and you’ll begin riding it automatically. You can change which mount will be summoned at a stable master, as well as customise it. While mounted, press the right trigger to gain a burst of speed and pass through enemies. Be careful though: your horse can get scared when there are too many enemies around. If the meter at the side of your mount’s icon fills up, you’ll be knocked off.
Another cool trick you can do with your mount is use it to launch an attack. While mounted, press the Square button if you’re using a PlayStation controller or X button if using an Xbox controller to leap off of it and launch an assault. Alternatively, simply press Circle or B to dismount and go about the rest of your business on-foot.
