How to Beat World Boss Ashava in Diablo 4

Diablo 4 World Boss Ashava

Are you taking part in Diablo 4‘s server slam this weekend? If you are, there’s a good chance you’ll be taking on the world boss, Ashava. Prepare yourself: it’s a tough battle.

Ashava is a level 25 boss, and your level cap in the Diablo 4 server slam is 20. The odds are stacked against you, but you can beat Ashava in Diablo 4, especially if you take advantage of our tips below. It’s worth taking them on, because beating Ashava at level 20 will grant you a ‘Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy’ in the full game once it launches next month. It’ll undoubtedly be the envy of everyone else who didn’t manage to take the boss down.

You’ll want to make sure you’re well prepared before rushing into beat Ashava, though. Even if you’ve beat Ashava before in the last beta, things are a little different this time thank to balance changes and reduced drop rates We’ve put together some tips to help you. Give them a read, and good luck out there, warriors.

Make sure you’re level 20

If you haven’t reached the Diablo 4 server slam level cap, don’t even both trying to take down Ashava. Honestly, you haven’t got a chance. It’s a team effort, and chances are you’ll just pull your team down. Being level 20 will give you the best chance possible, so wait until you’re as powerful as you can be before heading into the fight.

Increase your poison resistance

Ashava likes to use a lot of poison attacks, and so having a high poison resistance will give you the best chance to survive their attacks. Chances are, they may well wipe you out in one hit otherwise. You can gain poison resistance from gems and from equipment, so make sure you check the states of the loot you find.

Stay far away, or get right up close

It’s the middle ground that seems the most lethal in the fight against Ashava in Diablo 4‘s server slam. So you’re going to want to either keep far away, on the outskirts of the battlefield, or get right up close, under Ashava’s feet. If you’re a melee character, that’s really your only choice, anyway, so stick close and try to avoid being directly in front of Ashava’s face. If you’re a ranged fighter, make sure you’re back far enough to avoid swipe attacks.

Work as a team

You’ll be fighting against Ashava in the Diablo 4 server slam alongside other players. So don’t have a single player mentality: work as a team. That means helping out your teammates, watching out for fallen allies and picking them up when you can. Picking up players gets them back into the fight much quicker, and it ensures nobody loses their weapon durability.

Use crowd control effects

You might think crowd control effects – slow, chill, freeze, stun and immobilize – are a waste of time against Ashava. They don’t immediately seem to have any effect, but if you keep using them they’ll eventually fill up a bar beneath Ashava’s health bar. When it’s full, the boss will be staggered, giving you a short window of time to really unleash all the attacks you can muster. It can make all the difference to the fight.

That’s it: all that’s left is to get out there and show Ashava who’s the boss. It’s still going to be touch, but using our tips will make your fight against Ashava in Diablo 4 as easy as it can be.
