Where to Get Whispering Keys to Open Silent Chests in Diablo 4
Find out where to get Whispering Keys, the tools necessary to open silent chests in Diablo 4.
Not all chests are free in Diablo 4, it would seem. While you’ll come across plenty of chests that you can open without needing a key, Diablo 4 has also introduced Silent Chests. These are found all around Kyovashad and, often, they offer up better loot than regular chests. However, you can’t just open them: you’ll first need a Whispering Key.
To open Silent Chests in Diablo 4, you’ll need to buy Whispering Keys. To buy Whispering Keeys, you’ll need to visit a “Purveyor of Curiosities”. There’s one in the south-east of Kyovashad, called Lizveth. Interact with her and you’ll see that you can buy Whispering Keys for 20 obols each.
Since Whispering Keys in Diablo 4 aren’t too expensive, we recommend having a stock of them in your inventory. That means when you find a Silent Chest you can always open it right away. Silent Chests aren’t marked on your map, and so it’s not always easy to find them again if you don’t have a key to hand.
The loot in a Silent Chest isn’t always great. We’ve had a handful of them give us legendary items, but more often than not we’ve just had a selection of regular items and resources. Still, any type of loot is welcome, and with a chance to get something great, we recommend opening every one you come across.
