What Does ‘Injured’ Mean in Diablo 4?

games like Diablo on PS5

Read on to find out what ‘injured’ means in Diablo 4, one of many descriptors used throughout the game.

If you’re playing Diablo 4, you’ll see a lot of different descriptors and stat terms thrown around. Eventually, you’ll come to learn what most of them mean, but in the beginning, it can be a little overwhelming. One such term you’ll see a lot is “injured”. When you pick up a new piece of armour or a weapon, one of its affixes may affect your or your enemies when injured. But what exactly does injured mean in Diablo 4?

While you might assume “injured” means having taken any level of damage, it’s much more specific than that. You, and your enemies, are classed as injured in Diablo 4 when you’ve got less than 35% of your health remaining. In other words, if you’ve taken enough damage that takes your health bar down to less than 35%, you’ll benefit from any affixes on your gear that apply when you’re injured. The same applies to enemies.

Perhaps you’ve got an affix on a weapon that deals extra damage to enemies that are injured. Or maybe a piece of armour will buff you when you’re injured. Those perks will only apply when your health bar – or your enemy’s health bar – is less than 35%. We wouldn’t necessarily suggest it’s worth remaining injured for: it’s always better to keep your HP topped up.
