Bethesda didn’t hang about – well apart from some questionable banter for 15 minutes – and went straight in with a visceral trailer for a brand new Quake. It’ll be class-based, featuring a bunch of champions with unique abilities, whilst combat will be targeted towards e-sports and provide plenty of competitive bloodiness.

We didn’t hear much else about Quake Champions but with the success of DOOM, this’ll scratch the itch we seem to be having for a return to arena based shooters, and sate our current love for champion or class based competitive scrapping – a.k.a Overwatch and co. Fine by us.
We’ll be seeing more of Quake Champions at Quakecon in August.
