Is your PC ready for Fallout 4?

Fallout 4

Fallout 4 is just one tantalising month away from release, and Bethesda are making sure that everyone has enough time to grab some shiny new additions to their PC if they don’t meet the requirements.

So here’s all the information you need from Bethesda’s official website:

PC System Requirements

(Requires internet connection and free Steam account to activate)

Minimum:

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
  • Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 30 GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent

Recommended:

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
  • Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 30 GB free HDD space
  • NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB/AMD Radeon R9 290X 4GB or equivalent

Looks as if the majority of PC gamers will be okay to run the game as the specs aren’t too demanding. However if you’re looking for a glossier wasteland as it was truly intended, then your average budget gaming rig will certainly struggle to cope. If you’ve been saving up for those upgrades, perhaps it’s time to splash your cash and prepare yourself for dangerous levels of radiation.

If you don't find Ed desperately battling through Dark Souls, you'll probably find him adding an extra sparkle to his beloved FromSoftware shrine. Off screen, he loves to play badminton and binge watch anime.
