Not only is Friday a day to celebrate the oncoming weekend, get a takeaway and go out for a couple of bevvies with your friends and family, for us here at GameSpew it’s time for #FreeGameFriday. That’s right Spewers; it’s the best day of the week.
So this week, in keeping with my unusual take to non-horror freebies, I’ve picked a game worthy of many “awwws” and packed full of unexpected feels. The kind that makes you go: “really? I’m feeling feelings from this – really?” Yes really; don’t question it, just embrace it. Get on and play i saw her standing there.
Created by krangGAMES, i saw her standing there is a minimalist platformer; one with a white background, shaded platforms and the pretty-in-pink love of your life… who also happens to be a zombie. But that’s okay – that’s what cages are for! You’ve got to lead your zombie lady friend into one of these cages so you can be together forever and ever… just, 12 inches apart. As the levels progress they grow more difficult, introducing bad, green zombies who luckily move slower than your lady but don’t be tempted to hug anyone other than yourself, okay kids? Otherwise you’ll be overloaded with love and have to start the level again.
I’ve approached this in a silly way but I do whole-heartedly put forward i saw her standing there this week and it’s by-far one of my most favourite free games out there. The simplistic acoustic guitar soundtrack compliments its bare bones appearance brilliantly. It’s easy to play which, twinned with its adorable, children’s book narration style, really offers you an enjoyable experience, and despite the fact the love of your life is a zombie, it leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling – especially at the very end of the game.
What’s more there’s no download necessary! Just follow the link below, it couldn’t be simpler. Let us know how you get on in the comments, we always love to hear your views and as always: until next week, folks.
