Fallout 4’s first add-on, Automatron, is almost upon us. Bethesda have shared a brand new gameplay trailer that showcases: robots, fighting and tons of customisation.
Automatron will be available to download on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Tuesday, March 22nd.
In Automatron, the mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a torrent of evil robots on the Commonwealth; including the devious Robobrain. It’s up to you to hunt them down, take their parts and craft your own customisable robot companion. You can mix parts together and choose from hundreds of mods to make your mechanised buddy unique and stand out from the rest. What’s more, you can even choose what paint job they have, along with their voice. Don’t expect to be able to play this DLC from the very beginning of the game, it’ll only be accessible once you’ve reached level 15.
Looks pretty neat huh? Well that’s not all. Bethesda have also announced that Automatron is just the start of the DLC content they’ve got planned for release in the future. For April, they’ve got expansions for the Wasteland Workshop, and in May, we’ll be able to travel beyond the Commonwealth to Maine for a new DLC entitled: Far Harbor. According to their official blog post it’ll be the “largest landmass Bethesda Game Studios has even created for post-release content.” And that’s not it, the add-ons just keep on coming, as they’ve got even more DLC planned for this year, including a free Survival Mode and Creation Kit: The Creation Kit will allow us to create mods on PC and then share them across platforms including consoles.
They’ve been hard at work, that’s for sure.
Fallout 4: Automatron, will be available on March 22nd for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
