The world is in danger. Crime has reached an all-time high in the United States. Nobody can help us now. That is, apart from The ‘Coon.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole was announced last E3, and we’ve been waiting with baited breath for more information. And here we go!
The story picks up directly from 2013’s The Stick of Truth, reprising your role as the “New Kid”. The kids are now playing superheroes, and shit’s about to get real.
As we can expect from Matt Parker and Trey Stone, The Fractured But Whole is full of typical South Park crude humour and so much bad language that your grandma will want to shove cotton wool in her ears. In short, it looks awesome.
There are a dozen superhero classes you can choose from including Speedster, Blaster and Brutalist, with customisable elements to make your character unique to you.
The combat system has allegedly been improved from The Stick of Truth. Some of the turn-based elements of the last game have been kept, but it’s been finely tuned in several ways. You can now move around the environment, use items in the area as cover, and can knock enemies into others to cause a chain of damage. And of course, your farts are the most powerful weapon you have. Now with even more power.
The Fractured But Whole will be out on December 6.
Even better, anyone who purchases The Fractured But Whole will get The Stick of Truth for free – on PC, Xbox One or PS4.
