Make it so in Star Trek: Bridge Crew

Allow me to assume you enjoy Star Trek in some way, whether the original series, games or the rebooted movies. If you’re still reading, you’ll enjoy this.

Star Trek VR was leaked on Reddit a few days ago and Aisha Tyler nailed it when she told the person responsible to suck a bag of it.

This VR experience looks great. Imagine sitting in the captain’s chair on the bridge of your very own star fleet vessel. Your own crew awaits instruction from their chief and turn to you!

VR is difficult to demonstrate without the viewer having a headset themselves, but seeing a room full of Star Trek legends enjoying the experience, with LeVar Burton (Geordi La Forge) and the new Dr. McCoy, Karl Urban together goes a long way towards engaging your audience. Just look what it did to LeVar Burton’s face:

It may not look graphically the best thing I’ve seen at E3 so far, but in terms of potential enjoyment for Trek fans and non-fans alike, I think this offers something for everyone who like the idea of pressing the buttons of the Enterprise.

Here are your snappy-snaps:

Star Trek: Bridge Crew is due to release for all VR systems towards the end of 2016.
