It’s not quite a sequel. It’s not quite a remake. But hell, it’s still Red Dead Redemption on a current generation console. We’ll take whatever we can get!
Rumours of Red Dead Redemption coming to backwards compatibility on Xbox One were circulating a few months ago, after a few users saw someone testing the game, and decided to try it out themselves (to alleged success). Unfortunately, Microsoft stepped in and blocked access to the game – until now. This Friday, 8 July, it will be officially added to the ever-growing backwards compatibility catalogue.
Thank you Rockstar and Microsoft! This will be the first Rockstar title to be added to the scheme, so hopefully it will open up the gates to see GTA IV and Bully, amongst others, added to the service soon.
