Dead Rising 1 now available on Steam
Classic zombie beat ’em up Dead Rising 1 is now available on Steam. The game originally released for Xbox 360 precisely a decade ago (give or take a week) and now PC players get to experience the wacky fun too.
The even better news is that early reports are saying the PC port is absolutely fantastic so there is little to worry about if you have never tried this old gem. if you have somehow never heard of Dead Rising or don’t know exactly what it is, basically, it is complete over-the-top fun. Zombie games may be out of fashion nowadays but mowing down hundreds of them with a lawnmower as an odd photojournalist never goes out of style.
A little warning to German fans though, the game is blocked and unable to be bought in the German store. If you want to get around these outdated (and frankly, stupid) rules all you need to do is activate the game on Steam using a key. So you will need to buy the game from a trusted online retailer such as GamesPlanet or receive the game through a trade on Steam itself.
The Dead Rising Triple Pack is also available today on Xbox One and PS4, bringing all three Dead Rising games onto current gen consoles for the first time.
Dead Rising is available for £15.99 through Steam.
