The Last Guardian Delayed to December

Everyone remember The Last Guardian? That game that has been in development since 2007 and was meant to release exclusively for the Playstation 3 in 2011? Then after disappearing into development hell for four years was re-revealed last year? How we finally got a release date for October 25, 2016? Yes, well, it’s been delayed again.
The Last Guardian has officially been delayed until December 6, 2016. And when you put it like that a little over a month’s delay isn’t all too bad. gen DESIGN say the delay is “a difficult decision” but have “encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development.”
“To ensure that The Last Guardian delivers on the experience that the game’s creators have envisioned, we need to take the extra time to work on those issues.”
While I’m sure is annoying for patient fans who have been waiting so long for The Last Guardian to release, this does assuredly mean the game is finished and (should) now release mostly bug-free.
This also means that for Playstation 4 gamers October is looking a little freed up. Originally releasing directly after Battlefield 1, Civilization 6 and Batman: Return to Arkham and directly before Titanfall 2, the Skyrim remaster and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare late October until early November is an incredibly busy time.
Although with South Park: The Fractured but Whole, Yakuza 6, Steep and Dead Rising 4 December isn’t looking much better.
The Last Guardian will now be releasing December 6, 2016 (9th in the UK) exclusively for the Playstation 4.
