We are less than two weeks away from the release of Watch Dogs 2. Needless to say there has been a lot of hype surrounding the second instalment to Ubisoft’s hacker franchise, determined to fix the issues and criticisms that came out of its predecessor.
So it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Ubisoft have posted not one, but two new videos: one detailing all the content available to those who purchase the game’s season pass, and the other showcasing the development of San Francisco as an urban playground.
While a lot of new footage is showcased in the dev about recreating San Francisco for the game, its the details in the Season Pass trailer that will get fans particularly interested.
There’s a lot going for the Season Pass so far, and the trailer seems to elude that there is more yet to come, which may or may not be enough to persuade players to go all in from the start. Features include additional outfits and vehicles, new difficulty levels and co-op modes, advanced enemies and of course, more story missions.
Three new hour-long missions have already been named as Human Conditions, Bad Medicine and Caustic Progress, one of which sees another returning Watch Dogs character, Jordi, the charismatic assassin and gun-for-fire who helped Aiden Pierce throughout the game with his exploits.
So with Jordi and T-Bone back for the second outing, will we be seeing Pierce himself? I’m still calling it unlikely. Jordi and T-Bone had what Pierce lacked: personality – and for a game that is going out of its way to be more fun, have more humour and generally being more colourful, Pierce doesn’t seem like a character that fits into that background.
Check out for the trailer below for a sneak peek at all the goodies that come with the Season Pass.
Watch Dogs 2 releases on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 14 November.
