Styx: Shards of Darkness, originally set to release last year, is only a few months away from being in our hands – well, digital library. Releasing on March 14, 2017, the stealth game has just got a new, sleek cinematic trailer.
Of course, if cinematic trailers aren’t your thing, Cyanide has released two gameplay demos showing off some of Styx’s new abilties. This particular showing is all about style – and how to assassinate your enemies with it. With a slow blues-like soundtrack, Styx being a general pain in the ass to all elf-kind and walking away from the destruction you’ve caused in slow-motion? Yeah, Styx knows how to make a good trailer.
Cyanide is focused on making the sequel to 2014’s Styx: Master of Shadows as good as possible. They promise Shards of Darkness will, “build upon the foundations, with more fluid movement and climbing abilities, a richer story told with cinematics including an enhanced bestiary, side missions, as well as new and improved sneaking and assassination kills.”
Styx: Shards of Darkness is set to release March 14 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Ruaraidh - pronounced Roo-Ree - is a Scottish gamer with the name and games to prove it. He enjoys mostly everything, unless it involves exercise, and much prefers to run around inside a good, open-world RPG, being chased across the lands by a horde of monsters after his sweet loot. When he has made his escape, he will often return to the real world to continue playing anything with a good story - indie or otherwise.
