Members of PC’s ‘Origin Access’ or Xbox’s ‘EA Access’ will be able to try out ten hours of Mass Effect: Andromeda a week before launch – or five days before if you’re North American. Of course, all progress made in the trial will carry on over to the full-game if you decide to continue.
This seems to be becoming common practice for the majority of EA games of late. Battlefield 1 had the same deal – as well as smaller titles like Unravel. It doesn’t hurt either that the ‘Access’ deal is quite genuinely great. For just £3.99 a month – or £19.99 – you get to play all trials of upcoming EA games, a discount on the store and, most importantly, access to everything in EA’s vault.
Battlefield 3 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 were just recently added to the vault. Other titles include Star Wars Battlefront, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Unravel and the Dragon Age and original Mass Effect trilogy. It’s certainly one of the best things EA does currently – and you get an early start with Mass Effect: Andromeda.
