Tekken 7 K.O.s the UK, Claims No.1 Spot

Tekken 7 is good. We’ll have our review out later today to confirm that. And it seems the UK has responded to it rather well, making it the first Tekken to hit the number 1 spot in the sales chart since Tekken 3. That was released in 1998. Damn, I feel old.

Knocking Injustice 2 down to secure the number 1 position, Tekken 7 also beat off Overwatch, which is still performing strong after over a year, and Grand Theft Auto V, which is starting to feel like it’s been in the charts since the beginning of all time now. Last week’s number 10, Ultra Street Fighter II for the Nintendo Switch, has plummeted a whopping 24 spots, taking it down to number 34. Not surprising really, given the excessive asking price.

I imagine Bandai Namco are rather happy right now and they should be. The King of Iron Fist Tournament is back, baby! And it’s kicking ass and taking names.

If you’re interested, here’s the UK Top 10 for the week ending June 3rd:

3. Injustice 2 (Warner Bros)
4. Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar)

6. Prey (Bethesda)
7. Ghost Recon: Wildlands (Ubisoft)
