Because originality is apparently dead and jumping on the latest bandwagon is the best way to make money, Epic Games’ Fortnite is to receive a Battle Royale mode towards the end of this month.
The all-new PvP mode will drop 100 players into a giant map in which their ability to build and kill will be pushed to the limit. Unsurprisingly, the winner will be the last combatant left standing. Sounds eerily familiar, doesn’t it? I wonder where they drew inspiration from.

The mode officially launches on the 26th September, but those who already own Fortnite can try it out now via a special public test. If you’re thinking of picking up Fortnite, which wouldn’t be a bad idea as it’s quite enjoyable, there’s currently 25% off both the Standard and Deluxe Founder’s Packs until the 18th September if you want to save some money.
