Released a week ago today, the Xbox One version of PUBG has been both a success and a failure.
After only 48 hours it was revealed that over 1 million players had already played it, but with serious performance and technical issues affecting some aspects of the game, many of those probably weren’t too impressed with the experience.

Today, a new patch has landed that aims to iron out plenty of PUBG‘s flaws. Many fixes and changes have been made, such as equipment icons now being visible on the HUD, the player icon is now more clear when viewing the map, many unusual animations have been fixed, bugs have been quashed, and performance is stated to have been improved while also tweaking the visuals for the better. All in all, things sound good.
Remember, PUBG on Xbox One is currently unfinished – it’s in the Game Preview program for a reason. It’s likely to have plenty of issues for the foreseeable future, but as long as patches are being released to steadily improve it, it’ll remain a compelling multiplayer experience.
You can read the full Xbox One PUBG patch notes over on the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds website.
