Alongside Metro Exodus, Shenmue 3 is another Deep Silver published game that has been pushed back to 2019.
Announced via the Shenmue 3 Kickstarter page, “the extra time will be used to polish the quality of the game even further, to the high standards it deserves and release the product in the best possible timeframe.” A statement from Yu Suzuki was also released, apologising for the delay and promising that the additional development time will be well spent.
We’d be disappointed, but when you’ve been waiting this long for Shenmue 3 to happen, what’s another few months? At least when it does arrive, it’ll probably be a bit more polished as a result.
