Leave the convoluted story at the door: the next Kingdom Hearts title coming to console is a rhythm game.
Called Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, it features over 140 songs from the series’ soundtrack. Players will tap buttons in time to the music and see Sora, Goofy and Donald attack enemies to the beat.
There’s no release date for Melody of Memory just yet, but it’s scheduled for some point in 2020. It’ll be launching on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. That means this title will be the first time the Kingdom Hearts series has appeared on Switch.
See Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory in action in the trailer below. A number of other Kingdom Hearts projects can also been seen, including mobile title Dark Road, which is available from today on iOS and Android.
We’ll have more on the Kingdom Hearts rhythm game closer to its release.
