Settle Down With The Witcher’s Official Kaer Morhen Fireplace

The Witcher Fireplace

Need something to relax to but don’t have a fireplace? Why not spend Christmas at The Witcher’s Kaer Morhen.

Even if you’re not following the series, you can’t have missed the fact that The Witcher Season Two, is is currently available through Netflix. Featuring Henry Cavill as Geralt and Anya Chalotra as Yennifer, it does away with the first season’s time-hopping shenanigans and adopts a more linear approach to story-telling.

We’re not going to spoil things for you, but as a treat, Netflix has uploaded a Kaer Morhen “Yule Log” which, sporting the sound of crackling logs and a few pieces of chilled-out Witcher music, will put you in the Christmas mood.

Sure, we would have liked to have music-free option but we’ll still take this. Why Kaer Morhen? Because this location is essentially Witcher HQ, though there are a dwindling number of Witchers about so it’s hardly going to be bustling. If you’ve played the games (the series largely draws from the books) you may have even walked its halls.

We haven’t watched every second of the 46 minute video, so there may be a scene where a drunken Jaskier stumbles into view and starts spewing The Witcher’s equivalent of egg nog – be warned. But if you’re prepared to take the risk, and you have a Netflix subscription, you can find the video here.
