What’s happening in seven days? Capcom isn’t telling, but at the time of writing, there are six days and eighteen hours on the “Capcom Clock”.
The what? Capcom has launched a website which is actively counting down and everyone’s trying to guess what’ll happen a week from now when the clock hits zero. We’ve got our fingers crossed for an official western version of Ace Attorney Investigations 2, but there are other possibilities.
Street Fighter VI is one – a surprise release seems unlikely but given it’s been six years since Street Fighter V came out, it could be that Capcom are formally announcing the game. Resident Evil 4 Remake is another though we’re not entirely convinced that a remake is needed.
It’s only been three years since Devil May Cry V came out so we’re not counting on seeing Devil May Cry VI any time soon and while Mega Man has a lot of dedicated fans, we can’t imagine Capcom making that much of a fuss about the little blue guy. Capcom VS SNK 3? Not a snowball’s chance in hell.
So, on reflection, we’re looking at either Street Fighter VI or Resident Evil 4 Remake. Or it could be something completely new entirely. You can check out the official Capcom Countdown website here, and find out what Capcom’s big news actually is around 5:00AM GMT February 21st.
