Three games are coming at you on PlayStation Plus Essential in September: Saints Row, Black Desert: Traveler Edition and Generation Zero. All in all, not a bad offering.
Saints Row, with both a PS4 and PS5 version, is obviously the main, event. This reboot of the long-running series released last August, and while it wasn’t wholly well-received, we enjoyed our time with it. As we said in our review, it’s scrappy and has some poor design decisions, but ultimately, there’s a lot of fun to be had in its open world. And hey, if you’re a PlayStation Plus member, you may as well add it to your library and give it a go. Nothing to lose, right?
Joining Saints Row are Black Desert: Traveler Edition and Generation Zero. Black Desert is a fantasy MMORPG filled with player-vs-enemy combat, player-vs-player wars and a huge open world to explore. Since it’s the Traveler Edition, it also comes bundled with various add-ons.
Finally, Generation Zero is a first-person adventure set in a bizarre 1980s Sweden that’s been overtaken by hostile machines. Tackle it alone or with up to three friends in online co-op as you explore the world, figure out what’s going on, and scavenge parts from fallen enemies to make new equipment.
All three games will be available to download from Tuesday 5th September. You’ll have until 2nd October to add ’em to your library.
And don’t forget to claim August’s games: you’ve got until Monday to add PGA Tour 2K23, Dreams and Death’s Door to your library.
