The Evercade Alpha is now available for pre-order
I’m pretty sure most gamers would love an arcade cabinet in their homes. There are numerous problems with doing so, however. The first is that they’re generally very expensive. And in addition to that, they’re often rather costly, too. Thankfully Evercade is here to provide a solution. Launching this November, the Evercade Alpha is a bartop arcade unit that gives you the thrill of being in the arcade without taking up too much space or costing you an arm and a leg. What’s not to like?
Two versions of the Evercade Alpha bartop arcade unit will be available when it launches: one featuring Street Fighter games, and another with a duo of Mega Man games and more. But the neat thing is, being an Evercade unit, is that it that it also features dual Evercade cartridge slots, allowing you to play a library of over 500 games and growing. Other features include two USB controller ports for local multiplayer (though controllers aren’t included), a 3.5mm headphone socket, and built-in WiFi for updates and features.
Included in the Street Fighter version of the Evercade Alpha bartop arcade are:
- Street Fighter II Champion Edition
- Super Street Fighter II Turbo
- Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
- Street Fighter Alpha – Warriors’ Dreams
- Street Fighter Alpha 2
- Street Fighter Alpha 3
The Mega Man version of the bartop arcade includes:
- Mega Man – The Power Battle
- Mega Man 2 – The Power Fighters
- Carrier Air Wing
- Final Fight
- Knights of the Round
- Strider
Both versions of the Evercade Alpha bartop arcade are available to pre-order right now, and if you do so you save £30 off the recommended price of £229.99.
For those who want an even better deal, there are deluxe editions of the units available to pre-order as well. These include an exclusive Evercade Alpha USB controller, six swappable marquees for you to customise your unit with versus the standard three, an upgrade to pre-installed Sanwa controls, and more. These deluxe editions cost £249.99.
