A limited edition The Last of Us DualSense controller has been announced, and it’s gorgeous
Got a PS5? Love The Last of Us? If the answer to both of those questions is yes (and why wouldn’t it be?), then you’ll perhaps be over the moon to hear that Sony has announced a limited edition The Last of Us DualSense controller. You might want to get in quick if you want one though — it sounds like this will truly be a limited edition, with limited quantities available like some other special DualSense controller that have been released.
The limited edition The Last of Us DualSense controller celebrates both entries in The Last of Us series. Black and white in colour, it features glossy trophy icons that call back to moments from both games, and it looks absolutely outstanding.
On the controller, Naughty Dog Head of Studio and Head of Creative Neil Druckmann and Graphic Designer Megan Mehran had this to share: “We were excited by the chance to memorialise The Last of Us franchise in a controller that fans and our own team would love… Among the trophies, three particular images will immediately stand out for TLOU fans: The firefly, moth, and wolf. Players will recognise the Fireflies’ iconic spray-painted logo that originated in Part I, while the moth and wolf represent the intertwining lives and duality between Ellie and Abby in Part II.“
Priced at £74.99/$84.99, the limited edition The Last of Us DualSense controller will officially launch on 10th April. Pre-orders go live at 10am local time on 14th March, however, at both PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. You can check out the reveal trailer for the controller below.
Of course, you’ll be able to use the limited edition The Last of Us DualSense controller on PC, too. It’s just a shame it won’t be out in time for the release of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on 3rd April. For more details, check out the PlayStation Blog.
