Hallmark is making the tiniest mini Xbox 360 and we need it

Xbox 360 Christmas Decoration

Disappointed that Nintendo, Sega and Sony seem to be done with making micro consoles? Hallmark (yes, the company known for their greetings cards and cheesy movies) is stepping up with just the tiniest mini Microsoft Xbox 360 console.

That’s the good news. The bad news is that while it makes the familiar Xbox 360 startup sound and lights up, it doesn’t actually play games. Instead, it’s intended as a novelty, to be hung on your tree at Christmas. However, this doesn’t make us want it any less.

Dubbed the Xbox 360 Console Ornament With Light and Sound, this micro-console is just 3 inches tall. “Recall hours spent parked in front of the television, video game controller in hand. Nothing mattered except battling the Covenant and the Flood to complete the entire Halo 3 first-person game”, reads the description, written by someone who definitely owned a 360.

It’s priced at $29.99, which is a reasonable enough price given its novelty factor. It was spotted by Wario64 on Twitter and, naturally, the gags about it being $99.99 with tariffs have already started. Unfortunately, if you’re outside the US, Hallmark doesn’t offer international shipping, but the company does have a UK store. We’re hoping these make it to these shores, rather than being listed on eBay for triple the price.
