Lego’s latest set is the closest we’ll get to Lego Hitman: World of Assassination

LEGO Ideas Italian Riviera set 21359

Imagine how awesome a Lego Hitman: World of Assassination set would be, with Agent 47 disposing of minifigures in a variety of creative ways? Unfortunately, it’s not going to happen; Lego tends to frown on human-on-human homicide, unless it’s medieval knights or pirates or similar.

The good news is they’ve just announced a brand new set which, while there’s no sign of a bald, bar-coded minifigure, is as close to an official Lego Hitman: World of Assassination set we’re going to get. It’s essentially Hitman’s Sapienza level recreated in Lego.

If the word Sapienza makes you sigh, you’re our kind of people. The Hitman: World of Assassination trilogy has 20+ levels, but Sapienza will always be special to us. It was absolutely stunning to look at, felt like a real Italian town, and was bigger than any other previous Hitman level. Now, this Lego Ideas Italian Riviera set is giving us the exact same vibe.

Granted, there’s no bench for 47 to begin his mission on, but there’s the ice-cream/gelato shop, that balcony where you see a woman yelling at her layabout brother and more. We can just picture a blocky Agent 47 choking him into unconsciousness the moment his sister turns her back. Ah, memories.

This set includes ten victims, sorry, ‘minifigures’, and while there’s no Agent 47, we have seen several deeply unofficial Agent 47 minifigures floating about. Some Hitman fans have even put together their own non-Lego mini-sets.

As for this Lego Ideas Italian Riviera set, which was devised by a talented fan, it’s available direct from Lego from August 10th or August 7th for Lego Insiders, priced at £249.99 / $299.99.
