LEGO’s relationship with Nintendo continues to bear fruit, with The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company today unveiling a trio of new sets featuring Pikachu, Charizard, Evee, and more. As you’d expect, the three sets cover a range of price points, so there’s something available no matter your budget. The largest set, however, a 6,838-piece behemoth, will set you back an eye-watering £579.99/$649.99.

A brick-built version of Evee is the smallest, and cheapest, of the three new LEGO Pokémon sets that have been announced. Consisting of just 587 pieces and measuring over 7.5 inches tall, it features a movable head, tail and limbs, making it suitable for display or as a toy. Priced at £54.99/$59.99, it won’t break the bank, either.

Next up is a fantastic recreation of the iconic Pikachu along with a Pokéball. This one’s more of a display piece than a toy, consisting of 2,050 pieces and measuring over 13.6 inches tall. As such, it carries a price tag of £179.99/$199.99. Like Evee, Pikachu will be posable to an extent, with players able to display him leaping from an open ball in a battle stance, or sat next to a closed ball.

Serious Pokémon fans will likely find the most expensive of the three sets the most desirable. Imaginatively called LEGO Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise, there’s no award on offer for guessing which three Pokémon it includes. Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise all feature their own unique articulation, and can be built and displayed on their own or altogether via the included base. Needless to say, it’s a very impressive set and one of LEGO’s largest at 6,838-pieces. But with a price tag of £579.99/$649.99, it’s a serious investment.

All three sets are available to pre-order via the LEGO website today, and will release on 27th February. Despite being based on a property aimed at youngsters though popular with all ages, all three sets are recommended for those aged 18+. There’ll also be an incentive to pick up the expensive LEGO Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise set at launch in the form of a gift with purchase. A Kanto Region Badge Collection consisting of eight badges and a storage box made up of a total of 312 bricks will be available until 8th March or while stocks last.

Lastly, LEGO Insider members will also be able to exchange 2,500 Insider points for a Mini Pokémon Center, a mini-build inspired by different versions of the Pokémon Center featured in various games from 27th February while stocks last.
