Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 launches later this month

You’ve probably not been doing much mowing the lawn over the summer thanks to how hot and dry it’s been. But if you’re missing the, er, thrill of chopping down blades of grass, we’ve got good news for you: a sequel to 2021’s Lawn Mowing Simulator is just a few weeks away. That’s right: Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 is launching on PC and console on 23rd September.
Like in the first game, you’ll set up your own lawn care business, using real-world lawn mowers and equipment in order to tend to people’s gardens. You’ll take on a range of jobs that will help your business grow, from tending to suburban households to completing commercial groundskeeping work.
New to Lawn Mowing Simulator 2, though, is a fully explorable headquarters where your business will be based. From there, you can set up new contracts, pick up new jobs, hire employees and keep track of all your equipment.
That’s not all that’s new here, either. There’s leaf blower gameplay this time around, with new leaf clearance contracts, so it’s not all about cutting grass. And you’ll find improved visuals, too, with what developer Skyhook Games is calling “cutting-edge new grass technology”. You’ll find millions blades of grass at each location, with a more realistic appearance thanks to variations in height and tuftiness.
If you’ve enjoyed the likes of Power Wash Simulator, Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 should offer a similar level of repetitive but satisfying gameplay. We really enjoyed the first game, saying “while it really does feel like work at times, there’s something seriously enjoyable about going back and forth in serene British parks and gardens, making them look prim and proper.” We concluded our Lawn Mowing Simulator review by saying that it “is more addictive than it has any right to be”.
Want to jump in? You don’t have to wait long, with Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 launching on 23rd September. It’ll be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
