Catch a New Resident Evil Showcase This Thursday
Want another glimpse of the Resident Evil 4 remake? Capcom is putting on another showcase which promises to deliver just that.
The Resident Evil Showcase will also feature footage of Resident Evil Village Gold, which adds a Mercenaries mode, a new campaign and more. But, let’s face it, it’s floppy-haired Leon that everyone’s craving. Well, that and confirmation that Ashley won’t be quite as annoying this time round.
The last significant Resident Evil 4 reveal was back in June of this year, so we’re hoping that the showcase will deliver a really substantial look at the game. If you’ve never tackled the original Resident Evil 4, it sees Resident Evil 2 protagonist Leon fighting nasties in an Eastern European village. In particular, it’s notable for implementing an over-the-shoulder camera and not (technically) being about zombies.
The remake certainly looks promising, though we’ll have to wait as it’s set for a March release next year. Resident Evil Village Gold, on the other hand, arrives this October 28th as both a solo release and a free upgrade for purchases of the original game. The story DLC, Shadows of Rose, follows Ethan Winters’ teenage daughter as she explores her nature. We won’t say more than that for fear of spoiling the game if you’ve not played it.

So, if you want a look at both, tune in to this Thursday’s Resident Evil Showcase. It’ll take place at at 3:00 PM PDT / 6 PM EDT / 11 PM BST. You can watch it on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.
