Silent Hill 2 remake is coming to Xbox Series X|S this November, according to a deleted Xbox store listing

Looking forward to playing Silent Hill 2 on Xbox, after the ESRB revealed it had been rated? You won’t have to wait long because, according to an Xbox store listing, the Silent Hill 2 remake hits Xbox Series X|S this November.
The listing has since been deleted but True Achievements was able to grab a screenshot. The listing seemingly confirmed that Bloober Team’s superb Silent Hill 2 remake will arrive on Xbox Series X|S this November 21st. We were half expecting Microsoft to drop it in time for Halloween, but that’s not been the case.
It’s possible that the date is an error, but it wouldn’t be the first time Microsoft has accidentally revealed a release date. It’s also led to speculation that November 21st will be the date of an Xbox Partner Preview or some other Xbox Stream.

Something similar happened with the release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. Microsoft held a livestream and, during the event, announced the game was immediately available digitally.
Is the Silent Hill 2 remake worth having? Absolutely. We awarded Bloober Team’s remake a phenomenal 10/10 in our Silent Hill 2 review. We called it a “..a must-play for horror fans; a truly terrifying journey with an unforgettable story and plenty of replayability.” So we’re happy that Xbox owners will finally get the chance to experience it.
Some fans are also hoping that the Xbox version of the game will launch with the remake’s version of the original’s Born From a Wish DLC. Their reasoning is that when the game hit Xbox, it included Born From a Wish, which casts you as the mysterious Maria.

Born From a Wish eventually also came to PlayStation 2, but it was Xbox exclusive for a while. However, the actor who plays Silent Hill 2’s Maria has stated she hasn’t recorded anything new. So either she was covering, or Xbox Series X|S will get the same version of Silent Hill 2 as PC and PlayStation 5 owners. We won’t have long to find out.
