Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches this October, will be on Switch 2 for the first time

Today, the latest Call of Duty game has been revealed. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, developed by Infinity Ward, launches on 23rd October on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Perhaps the biggest revelation, however, is that it will also be available on Switch 2 for the very first time.
Set in an escalating global conflict centred on the Korean Peninsula, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will put players in control of Private Park, a young South Korean soldier who finds himself thrown into a full-scale North Korean invasion. Captain Price is also making a return, though, working outside the system he once served to locate a weapon that threatens the entire world. Needless to say, the game’s campaign will take players around the world, featuring locations such as Mumbai, New York, Paris, and of course, Korea.
When it comes to multiplayer, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 promises grounded, precise combat that’s built around fluid movement. Launching with 12 core maps, it will also feature Kill Block, a new dynamic battleground that changes its layout between rounds, with apparently more than 500 configurations available. On top of that, it’s set to feature something called Ballistic Authority, too, a new weapons-first innovation that is stated to deliver the most authentic Modern Warfare gunplay yet.
Throw in the return of DMZ, an extraction experience in which solo players and squads are dropped into a shifting combat zone, and it should once again be a solid package. Those who play on PC can also expect more customisation options this time around, with a wider range of settings that will affect things such as visual fidelity, responsiveness, performance, and more.
