Garfield – Escape From Monday brings platforming fun to PC and consoles this September

Did you know that today is National Garfield Day? No, I didn’t either, but it apparently is. And to coincide with this most distinguished of holidays, Microids has announced that a new Garfield game is on the way. Garfield – Escape From Monday is a 3D platformer that sees Garfield run through a nightmare where he must escape the curse of a vegetable lasagne.
A bizarre plot, yes, but we wouldn’t really expect anything less from a Garfield game. You’ll of course step into the four paws of the iconic lazy ginger cat and make your way through more than 40 colourful, food-inspired levels. You won’t be alone, either: Jon, Odie and Pookie all make appearances, ready to help you across your adventure. But they’re not the only ones – Garfield’s enemies, Nermal and Squeak may show their faces, too, and they aren’t going to be so keen to offer help…
Being a Garfield game, you can expect humour inspired by the original cartoon penned by Jim Davis. And as you control Garfield, you can expect many cat-like movements: curl up into a ball when the mood strikes, climb up the walls, and jump so you always land on your feet.
