Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders start 25th June

Grand Theft Auto VI will surely be the gaming event of the year, perhaps even the decade. And with its launch now mere months away, on 19th November, it appears that marketing for the title is soon going to ramp up. That means pre-orders are opening up, too, with Rockstar Games today announcing that you’ll be able to pre-purchase the title from next week, on 25th June.
There are, however, still many questions. It’s not yet known if multiple editions of the game will be available, for example. Or how much the base game will cost. Not that it matters all that much: Grand Theft Auto VI is undoubtedly going to be a behemoth, which is why you’ll find no games scheduled to launch anywhere near it, at least at the moment anyhow.
If you’ve managed to unwittingly avoid any information about the title until now, Grand Theft Auto VI will once again welcome you to Vice City, the sunniest place in America. It’s also suitably crime-ridded, making it a great setting for a game that will have you meddling with criminal conspiracy. Jump in and you’ll find yourself playing as Lucia and Jason, a pair who must rely on each other more than ever before if they wish to survive. And of course, they’ll encounter many… interesting… characters along the way.
Along with the date on which you can begin to pre-order Grand Theft Auto VI on both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, the game’s cover art has also been revealed. You can take a look at it below.

Of course, with Grand Theft Auto V only available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, if you’re still playing Grand Theft Auto V on PS4 or Xbox One you’re going to need new hardware if you want to keep up with the series. While buying new hardware is costly right now, Rockstar Games is easing the process a little by now offering a free next-gen upgrade for Grand Theft Auto V. Any PS4 version is eligible for a free upgrade, while Xbox One gamers can only upgrade if they’ve bought the game digitally. More details are available on the official Rockstar Games website.
